Help me to study pandemic monitoring and prevention through Space at the International Space University

  • Nadia Khan
I would absolutely love your support (see my Crowdfunder campaign here) even if it is to just share the campaign, so that hopefully I can get onto the programme and encourage more women to play a role in STEM especially through space.

I am fundraising to secure a place on the Interactive Space Programme (ISP) this summer. The Interactive Space Studies programme will allow me to study how space can help in the monitoring, mitigation as well as the prevention and preparedness of pandemics.

Through the interactive sessions I will be able to deal with practical aspects of space and pandemics: remote sensing applications, satellite and communications technology; artificial intelligence; telehealth/ telemedicine and tele-epidemiology, space technology transfer, business and entrepreneurship, ethics, policy, regulatory frameworks and international collaboration at government, research and corporate level.

I will work with an international team across the world as part of a Team Mission to prepare for daily briefings, mission design, mentoring sessions and important announcements from Mission Control at ISU's Central Campus in Strasbourg.

My goal is to provide research into telemedicine to support the NHS. I am also keen to design my own tele-medicine space application by applying what I have learnt from the Interactive Space Programme.
