Hermés & James Plumb

  • Timothy Crombie

This is a long stringed instrument that was part of an immersive installation/ interior designed for the Parisian fashion brand Hermés. As part of a wider environment, designed by London interior and furniture designers James Plumb, I was commissioned to design and build a long stringed instrument that extended from the floor of the fist floor to the ceiling of the second floor, 7,5 metres above. My design was informed by the visual aesthetic of James Plumb and carefully negotiated my own design language into theirs, to form a seamless joining. https://jamesplumb.co.uk/environments/hermes/ Photographic Credit: Leon Chew
