High Street to Couture (Fashion Editorial)

My project is a political statement promoting the concept that unbranded thrift store or vintage items can be re-branded and transformed in some way as well as being brilliantly lit and photographed making the objects look and become more desirable to the consumer. I am very excited about how this project as I explored how different colours, styles and prints can work together in terms of collaging in post-production or layering in terms of styling which has always been an interest of mine. The idea of altering the future of fashion, by re-inventing clothing, shoes, and handbags will not only improve our environment but it will enlighten consumerist ideas of how we all as a society are brain-washed by branding and how people believe that money equals quality. I photographed and styled this series.
