Highly visible clothing and accessories are associated with safety. Unfortunately safety is not regarded as fashionable or cool to wear. As a kid I would feel so embarrassed when my parents made me wear a high-visible vest or band in the winter. I would often take it off a few minutes after I had left the house. Of course this was not smart of me, but only after I got my driving licence I understood how naive I was, assuming that cars could see me without a problem. Even though some streets and cars have lighting, pedestrians are difficult to spot as they are blended in with the background. This is what made me ask the following question: what must be done to make high visibility cool? These badges are made with retroreflective material, recycled leather and fur scraps.
