Homebase Kitchens - Where real connections happen

  • Ruby Randall-Cutler

Challenge: To encourage people to buy kitchens from Homebase after lockdown During our 3 months of isolation we’ve lost that social component to our homes. They’ve become purely functional spaces. The end of isolation is the time to reassert the home as the centre of our social lives, within which the kitchen is key MAIN INSIGHT The world has been very reliant on technology to stay close due to the current pandemic. Due to lockdown we have all been speaking to people a lot more than usual, using technology to do this. We all have an underlying need to socialise, however we have missed physical connections more than ever.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND EVENT
Homebase would release a Facebook post alerting people to the event, that will not only be in a Homebase showroom, but will also be shown live on Facebook, so that even if someone couldn’t make it into the Homebase store they would still be able to get involved in this group cooking class.

People would also be able to win discount vouchers off a Homebase kitchen as well as a limited recipe book to enjoy with friends and family – all they have to do is send in their videos of themselves recreating these group recipes and send them to Homebase via Facebook.
