House of Worship Lighting Design
Lighting and controls update to Seattle Revival Center church in Newcastle, WA. Provided specification and design for all lighting instruments, rigging layout, lighting console, congregation overhead lighting, touch-screen room controls, and networking. Specifically worked with pastor's request for lighting to bring the experience to a modern feel and be able to broadcast over streaming video. Worked closely with The Lighting Group NW in Seattle for equipment demos and controls.
It was important to the team that the lighting enhance and not interfere with the camera equipment. I chose fixtures from Chauvet Professional for both their quality of light and their ability to adjust the LED pulse to be offset from the camera's refresh rate.
New, professional grade truss was specified to hang the front of house fixtures safely and securely.
The video screen on the back wall needed to be avoided with front light but still needed to highlight the individuals on the stage area. Side lighting locations were selected to cut tightly across the space without impacting the projections.
