HTC ONE SKATEPARK

Project manage the build, day to day running and de-rig of a 1,703 square metres temporary skatepark

A challenging project with a timeline of just 25 days to build London’s biggest indoor skatepark in the unusual and difficult environment of the Old Selfridges Hotel. The end result was a very successful skatepark, used by 4,500 skateboarders and visited by over 10,000 people in just under 4 weeks. The skatepark received lots of praise and press coverage all over the world.
As the Project Director I was responsible for the budget, build (and de-rig) of the skatepark within a derelict hotel, hiring, training and overseeing staff, managing the day to day running as well as all events during the 24 days of opening of the skatepark. As the go-to person I worked across complex and multi organisation structures.
