Hyper virtual reality is all about the hyper real world, stepping into the virtual world and the future of design. These surfaces are based on the idea of seeing the digital becoming physical, what is the real world and what is not? Visual inspiration comes from looking at the mystery of water. Our blue planet shimmers like a drop of water miraculously suspended in space. Who can claim that water is simple? Even though we see and use it every day its state is so different to our other surroundings, so out of this world even though it is most of the world. This creates a state of questioning within the viewer, where they are forced to ask ‘is that real?’
In response, Hyper Virtual Reality is a collection of hanging and standing visual mood light installations. Combined with a collection of water and shower proof prints, which are printed on off cuts of sail material from the Isle of Wight. These pieces are also part of a visual Virtual Reality video where you can be taken into another underwater world of colour, light and design viewing the pieces on a whole other level.
