- Hyper Virtual Reality (HVR)Be immersed into another world and step into a virtual reality world of hyper real colour and fluidity. Hyper virtual reality is all about the hyper real world, stepping into the virtual world and the future of design. These surfaces are based on the idea of seeing the digital becoming physical, what is the real world and what is not? Visual inspiration comes from looking at the mystery of water. Our blue planet shimmers like a drop of water miraculously suspended in space. Who can claim that
- Digitized Reality INSPIRATION |The softer futuristic feel of virtual reality, motion, print and pattern. Reflective metallic, transparency of soft flowing fabrics and motion of layered print designs and 3D digitized and rendered shapes | Bjork Virtual reality exhibition is an interactive exhibition with virtual reality headsets | Lucy Hardcastle's intangible matter, The fifth sense playing with scent and sense in design | Phygital artists and designers Zeitguised Studio & CATK. Also Soderberg mills mirrors and light reactions and set design ideas from Envisions | COLOUR | Playing with transparency, metallic, reflective, iridescent and holographic shades and layers of colours changing each other. A more toned down palette of light pastel pink and peach paired with a brighter bold pink, blue, orange and lime green. And a dark blue to grid the colours together or separate apart. This palette is all about bright to toned down gradient of colours with reflective elements of the metallic silver, blue and pink | MATERIAL | Clear resin with light reactive iridescent foils cast inside blocks and spheres. Pearlized pigment used with resin to add shimmer. Chiffon digital prints layered together, in motion produce interesting effects to the pattern. Metal bending copper rods to add a frame around objects |
- Ultra OpticINSPIRATION | Plugged in from the trend block dimension | Ultra Violet, neon and fluorescent colour and light glowing in the dark | Neon lights from gods own junkyard in London inspired the shapes, lines and colours of neon lights | Looking at artists such as James Turrel, Dan Falvin & Keith Sonnier for how they use light in their work | COLOUR | This palette is all about neon, glow in the dark and UV reactive colours under black light and in darker light conditions. Neon/ fluorescent orange, pink, green, yellow and blue glowing in the dark purple background | MATERIAL | Fluorescent Perspex laser cut and etched patterns also heat bended to create 3D objects. The use of Perspex rods heat bended to create shapes and covered with shiny yarn to create a softer texture to some of the lines and react with the colours glowing underneath and coming through the gaps. UV reactive pigments used within the resin to create blocks of glowing colour and clear resin so the glow colour can shine through |

Workshop InternSolomon&Wu
- Welwyn Garden City, United KingdomInternship
During my summer I interned at Solomon & Wu helping with the making of commercial poured resin panels. I also got to experiment with making possible new samples which provided me with a lot of knowledge of the material and how to finish a product to the highest possible standard. Solomon & Wu taught me a lot about timescale and the reality of making a product and also producing something to the highest possible standard it can be.

Dulux Colour Trend Futures 2016, Live BriefAkzonobel Dulux UK
The Dulux Colour and Design Team set a live brief for the 2nd and 3rd year Textile and Surface Design students at Bucks New Uni. We were asked to design textiles for interiors using their Colour Futures Trend Palettes 2016. My work was selected as the winner due to my use of the palette 'The Grid and Letting Go' to create decorative, etched layered tiles. This was followed by an internship with the company.
