Ultra Optic

INSPIRATION | Plugged in from the trend block dimension | Ultra Violet, neon and fluorescent colour and light glowing in the dark | Neon lights from gods own junkyard in London inspired the shapes, lines and colours of neon lights | Looking at artists such as James Turrel, Dan Falvin & Keith Sonnier for how they use light in their work |
COLOUR | This palette is all about neon, glow in the dark and UV reactive colours under black light and in darker light conditions. Neon/ fluorescent orange, pink, green, yellow and blue glowing in the dark purple background |
MATERIAL | Fluorescent Perspex laser cut and etched patterns also heat bended to create 3D objects. The use of Perspex rods heat bended to create shapes and covered with shiny yarn to create a softer texture to some of the lines and react with the colours glowing underneath and coming through the gaps. UV reactive pigments used within the resin to create blocks of glowing colour and clear resin so the glow colour can shine through |
