In this project I worked with an author who had written a philosophical children’s picture book and wanted me to illustrate it. Throughout this project, I explored different ways I could show symbolism in my illustrations, new ways to show the meanings behind the text. Its about a little child who wonders about the world around them, the child is illustrated in rainbow colours to show no gender and make all feel includes, it also represents a child’s wonder and innocence, with a grey and uncertain world around them. I have added stand alone spreads, but I have also added pages in order to show the call and repeat style of the book.
