Il Collirio is the magazine of Effetto Placebo, an Italian cultural association. Collirio means eye drops, and its goal is to open the reader’s eyes to the world that surrounds us, always trying to be informative and not too arty.
We designed the special 2020 issue and for the occasion we also developed the new identity.
This took inspiration from the eye chart, where letters increase and decrease in size, and it helps examine our vision in a scientific way. In fact, the logo is able to change dimension, challenging the reader’s eye each time.
This idea is presented in the magazine too, playing with big and small typefaces.
Animations, custom typeface, magazine and website have been designed for this project.
