Illustrating for Children’s books short course

Earlier this year I completed the UAL short course 'Illustration for Children's books' directed by Leni Kauffman. I learned a lot and created some work that I'm really proud of!

Week 1: Our first task was to create some reportage illustrations inspired by the town that we live in. The drawings above are of my local coffee shop, who purchased them as prints to display in their cafe!
Week 2: The next week we were asked to design some characters. I decided to create this ADHD character to demonstrate some behaviours that we find particularly challenging

Week 3: For our final project we were asked to make a double page spread for a children’s book. Here is mine - inspired by a lovely trip that I went on in Wales hunting for dragons
