About me
I’’m currently working as a graphic designer for WED2B, the UK’s largest bridal retailer. In my spare time I’m working on my illustration practice whilst also doing some freelance graphic design jobs for various companies

  • Illustrating for Children’s books short course
    Illustrating for Children’s books short courseEarlier this year I completed the UAL short course 'Illustration for Children's books' directed by Leni Kauffman. I learned a lot and created some work that I'm really proud of!
  • QPT logo design
    QPT logo designThis logo was really fun to design, and it was interesting to study a subject that was quite far away from my normal. At QPT their hardware will minimise the CO2 produced when companies are product testing; they will use QPT's hardware to notice any issues during development and cut down a lot of unnecessary steps, time, and material waste.     Degree ShowThis body of work is studying identity, and personal perceptions of identity. On the tube on my way to university I draw people and make up stories about them. These pictures are my development of one character, named Alexander Sorley. I decided that he worked for the british library and was a fan of poetry and coffee. I then illustrated his story further, and eventually acted out his life as him.

The nature of this companies means that there are always new challenges for me to work on; I always have to make sure that produce exciting and high quality work for all sorts of purposes. In addition to the workload I have listed from my role as a Junior Artworker below my responsibilites also include: - Overseeing the design of the website - updating designs, refreshing imagery, and maintaining the brand’s aethetic - Creating captivating Instagram, TikTok and facebook schedules using the work make from our content creators - Working with external printers to make high quality packaging and other printed assets - Working with the property team to design beautiful store layouts and graphics - Working with the marketing team to make engaging sales and promotions

    When I was in the role of Junior Artworker for WED2B I was responsible creating artwork for their social media for both companies, in store videos and items for print. - Creating evergreen Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts - Designing new newsletters for both companies each week, making sure to consistently amend them each week in line with feedback from marketing to drive engagement - Using after effects to create exciting, captivating motion graphics for instagram stories and posts - Working on challenges such as designing annual infographics. This means I have to create an appealing layout and working out effective and dynamic ways of presenting information - Designing leaflets and ordering them for print - Working with the Brand Manager to make Graphic amendments to the websites.
