Illustrations for Nynas petroleum annual report

This is an old yet describing project that might give some insight into how I approach concepts. As part of the annual report design, I chose to work with the two main products that the refinery produced, Naphtanic and Bitumen. These are found in a number of products such as asphalt, tires and sneakers to name but a few. Nynas was at the time world-leading in Naphtanics and Europe-leading in Bitumen so I based the concept around this by using syrup to paint all illustrations and had them photographed and retouched by Jorgen Ahlstrom.
