"Sustainability Is In Our Jeans," a zine project in collaboration with James Clark Shining a spotlight on the excessive use of water and resources. Each step in the lifecycle of a pair of jeans leaves behind a trail of waste and pollution. Did you know it takes nearly 3,800 liters of water and emits 33.4 kilograms of carbon dioxide just to make one pair jeans? "Sustainability Is In Our Jeans" celebrates the power of collaboration and innovation in tackling environmental challenges head-on. We highlight 9 FDD students designs that used upcycled the charity FARA’s scrap denim fabrics to create new looks, because when it comes to saving the planet, sustainability truly is in our jeans….
