I pitched for this exciting opportunity to be part of the Arts Team at the ‘In Woods Festival’. Held at a secret woodland location, this festival showcases upcoming musicians and installations from new artists displayed around the venue. The theme for the festival was showcasing the absurd and mystical. My idea for a captivating installation was to produce a flock of porcelain birds with mystical and enchanting mutations. Each bird was hand moulded using porcelain and given playful features such as party hats and unicorn horns. The finished pieces hung delicately from the forest trees to act as a beautiful backdrop along the walkway. Suitably named the #partybirds.
