The Graduate Collection; Indomitable by Ahroob Jabbar, is inspired by Greek Mythology and Tae-kwon-do. This project includes design work. Starting from moodboards and initial design ideas through moulage and later develpoing motifs to translate through surface pattern. The final line up has been digitally ilustrated with design pages and specifications sheets to follow.
As a first degree Black Belt in Tae-kwon-do, there is a very personal link with this martial art movement. The wrap silhouettes which have been created, were directly inspired by the Tae-kwon-do Dobok. The ribbed detailing on the belt itself has been reflected through the use of Corduroy fabrics.  Greek Mythology has always been of interest due to the mystical themes and creatures, therefore the focus of this collection is Pegasus. In particular, the wings of Pegasus. Interpretations of wings have been designed and further transferred onto the fabrics through laser cutting and devore.
