Instagram Photo Competition

The objective was to build a stronger online social media presence through the companies Instagram channel. Two of the regional locations in which the company operated, Africa and South America, used trucks to take the clientele through the rugged terrain. The plan was to place posters & promo cards on board the trucks that the clients would see and pick up, encouraging them to use their photography skills and then post through Instagram, tagging the company's hashtag which would enter them into the photo competition. I wanted to use an image of someone using their phone or camera with one of the iconic backdrops from either of the locations and if possible have the branded yellow truck in there too. But this wasn't a singular lead photograph, nor did we have such photo's in our library being so specific. So I took it upon myself to illustrate the scenes and build from scratch and also creating a grand rustic title as if found on the rugged roads in the wilderness.
