About me
Hi, I'm Kris an enthusiast in most things involving being creative that I can get my hands onto. I studied Graphic Design at Lincoln University and once graduated I decided to take a gap year off to Australia, only for that gap year to become almost 7 years and living in Toronto, Canada for 5 of those. Once I returned to Manchester I managed to gain freelance design work through a couple of different agencies that would outsource creatives and I did that for about 6 months. I then moved to London finding a design job with an adventure travel company, Tucan Travel where I had worked for the last 5 years. This was a great job as I was combining two of my passions in travel & design and lucky me I had the opportunity to experience two of their tours (for employee educational's to experience the product) to Sri Lanka and Peru. Sadly the company did not survive through the pandemic, but I was so grateful for having the opportunity to work for them and cover such a diverse range of projects from print to web and even motion. I was able to put to use my creative skills in the real world and also develop further which after travelling for so long felt incredible and I would like to continue on this path of progression not only for myself but also for companies aspiring to advance further in development.

  • Reintroducing Immersify, Brand Announcement
Reintroducing Immersify, Brand AnnouncementA minimal logo enhances brand recognition by being memorable and instantly recognizable. It conveys professionalism, appeals to diverse audiences, and attracts new customers who appreciate simplicity. The logo's simplified design ensures adaptability across various mediums while maintaining legibility and impact. Removing the gradient and shadows within the icon have helped produce a more modern look and slight tweaks to the colour palette, have brought a more bold and vivid approach in the app

  • 33 Years of Tucan Travel
33 Years of Tucan TravelI was asked to create a video montage that would celebrate the 33 years in operation for the company, Tucan Travel. So with the logo being a Toucan, I thought I could start the intro with the birth of the Toucan popping out of an eggshell which would take flight and hover up into the type forming the logo. The concept with the footage would be quite dated at the beginning as if recorded on VHS with a retro look and feel, so I added scratches and glitches and the old date format to the top right.
  • Foldout Country Travel Map & Guide
Foldout Country Travel Map & GuideThe target for creating these large foldout pamphlets was to give an informative guide of each destination chosen and create an interest for the reader to then want to explore further in traveling to the location. Initially, I was briefed that I was to come up with a mini brochure to capture the reader on three of the company's top three countries to travel to. This then developed into creating an informative guide which the reader could also keep, so why not create a large visual piece that co
  • Agent Incentive Flyer and Email Campaign
Agent Incentive Flyer and Email CampaignThe objective of this set of flyers was to push a competition for the agent stores that deal with Tucan Travel's product. The leading sales person would be in the running for winning a adventure tour to Colombia. The brief was to be bright and eye catching so the agents would instantly remember what flyer to refer to should they need more information in the competition. I had decided to go the route of creating an abstract arrangement of layers using the company branding colours and type of Ro
  • Y Travel Exhibition Promotion
Y Travel Exhibition PromotionThis exhibition was to be held in Infernos nightclub in Clapham which is a popular place for young travellers. The target audience at this particular exhibition would be young Aussies and Kiwis who are currently based in the UK whilst on their gap year and are looking to explore more of Europe, as for most that's the main reason they are in the UK. So for this design, I wanted something very hip and colourful, probably with a location that most will want to visit in the EU. So leading image on
