I used the interim period between my year in industry and starting my final year of university to start offering marketing services on a freelance basis. To reach potential clients, I’ve set up an Instagram page (@isobeldigitalmarketing) where I give free marketing tips and advice. Starting this has provided me with valuable, hands-on-experience and has given me the opportunity to put marketing theories to a real-world test. Within one month, I gained 1000 followers and have built a community of like-minded people, who are interested in digital marketing and sustainable practice. I’ve received several enquiries from small businesses who are interesting in employing my services.
