ISTD | A free, strong woman and pioneer

Piece created and submitted towards the ISTD competition. In response to the brief title 'Lost'. The book celebrates the life and loss of Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. Split into three sections, it tells the story of the most tragic and personal happenings within her lifestime as an artist. Designed with typograhic approach using an interactive and claustrophobic grid system. The purpose of this system was to replicate the trauma that Kahlo went through. Alongside this, a vibrant colour coded palette, taken from her paintings and highlighting her artistic license.
