The release of the film in Canada was supported by influencers participating to a 2-day trip to Los Angeles to attend the film Premiere and afterparty, a visit at a special IT themed museum and a Warner Bros Studio Tour. The trip allowed the influencers to create content. Locally, director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti did a full day of promotion as well as attended a screening. In Toronto, the balloons from the movie were recreated for a stunt downtown during rush hour.
