Jellyfish Pictures Brand Identity

Jellyfish Pictures create award-winning visual effects and animation for film, television and advertising. Founded in 2001, they are one of the only UK studios to provide both high-end visual effects and animation services. While creative director at Blast I led the project to develop a new brand identity and website for Jellyfish Pictures to effectively reflect their new brand strategy and the quality of their award-winning work. Taking inspiration from their brand proposition, we created a concept based around the idea of ‘making the impossible possible’. The resulting logo is an impossibly shaped 3D monogram, which reflects their expertise in 3D, photoreal visual effects. The logo’s symmetry references the duality of their offer, while the website continues this theme with a split, animated homepage. In addition to the website the brand identity was rolled out to stationery, banners and merchandise for launch. We also supplied full brand identity guidelines covering screen and print applications, as well as concepts for new office interiors and signage.
