This fun project came about when I was working in London but living in Southsea, on the south coast. My office was based in Covent Garden so I was lucky enough to have great photo opportunities at my finger tips practically every day. I decided to start taking photographs of the people I saw on my walk to and from the office, across Waterloo Bridge, or whilst on my lunch breaks but I was always too scared to take a picture of an outfit/look that I liked from the front, and so that's how my "Fash From Behind" instagram account was born - now @peopleandpattern. I spent hours and hours of commute time editing the pictures I'd taken that day on my way home on my - all on my iPhone 6! The editing wasn't always great quality as it was really hard to see on the small screen but it kept me sane and it meant that the commute passed faster. I still love to take these pictures and edit them but I don't have as much fodder these days - I'm living in the south of France and the style is very different...a lot of older folk around here, but hey, maybe there's another project there!
