Football mastermind Jose Mourinho isn’t a man known for holding back. So when we teamed up with him to launch Jaguar UK’s #LiveFearless campaign, it was the perfect opportunity to unveil a deeper insight into his uncompromising personality that had never been seen before. Exploring the concept of Microexpressions – brief, involuntary facial expressions shown on the face in high-stakes situations – the video features Jose’s intensely focused glare in true cinematic fashion, as he admits a revelation: that he too has fear, and is driven by it everyday.

The video allowed us to take part in online conversation around Chelsea’s final game of the season and we’ve received a great response so far, with over 390,000 views across YouTube and Facebook and some great mentions online from the likes of the Mirror, the Express and Autoblog.

Most importantly, the poignant message in the film was the perfect way to launch Jaguar UK’s socially-led #LiveFearless campaign. Throughout May, we’ve been asking the nation to showcase the extraordinary things that can be achieved by recognising their fear and being fuelled by it, as well as teaming up leading online influencers such as It’s Nice That, Londonist and The Mahogany Sessions to inspire their communities through showcases of fearlessness in their own area of expertise.
