Joshua Was Here: Eco-Poetry

  • Lucy Wilson

An Eco-Poetry collection, imagining Joshua Tree National Park, California, in the year 2118. Due to climate change, it is feared that the plants currently in the park will be the final stand of Joshua Trees. My work was a dystopian projection where 'Mojave Rock Solar Ranch' has replaced the park: 'Hollywood slurps eco-espressos darkened by your fall; hilltop pools cradle green heat whilst your spirit shivers. Ain’t progress sweet?'
