The Kalila housing is a project located in the Cilandak area, south Jakarta. This project was lead by LC Development, together with Djuhara+Djuhara architecture firm and TATAMASA Group. Kalila is made up of 5 housing units, with the main goal of incorporating clever space-saving solution in its design. The overall concept for this project is to design ‘cubical’ houses that have a minimalist overlook. One of the challenges that we face upon this project is the exploration and combination of materials usage. The building process of this housing mainly required close supervision from the team, to control the design finishing and quality of materials in the house.
