... means “body - movement - textile“ in Danish. The purpose of this study- hued collaboration with textile designers Fie Bjørch & Caroline Damm was to examine the interface of body and textile. The „living body“ and its movements were the focus points of inspiration. When we wear garments we create external representations of our bodies, and shadow folds and organic shapes emerge in the surfaces of the garments. From this connection we have developed a concept model as a framework for our theoretical, methodological and technical approaches in the design process. The concept model also structures the guiding principles for developing the colors, printed patterns, textile materials, and the shape and silhouettes of the garments.
