La Mennulara (The Almond Picker)

Graphic novel based on the best-selling novel by Simonetta Agnello Hornby. Set in Sicily in 1963, this is a riveting family saga-cum-thriller, which fascinated me when I first read it. I proposed the author I could do a comic book with it and we then published it in Italy with Feltrinelli, in November 2018, after 12 long months of work scripting, researching, designing characters, sketching locations and then drawing, inking and colouring 180 pages.
