Lady Muck – EP Design
This project involved creating an image that matches the warped and almost sinister qualities of Lady Muck’s music. Part of a larger branding project, I created this collage in answer to the brief – I used a portrait of the artist and distorted it to a point of discomfort, placing it firmly in the Uncanny Valley. I used a professional photograph taken of the artist (not by me), editing it within Photoshop.
This was a fun project – I took inspiration from body horror such as that of John Carpenter's The Thing, trying to make him look like a mutant alien inhabiting a human body. This definitely aligns with the vibe of his music, so I feel like the visual aspect of the EP is successful.
