The graphite technique is the least complicated to work with. Due to its shape, weight and size, the pencil is the most handy and easy to use drawing instrument, it does not require an exceptional pulse to be used and it is easily erased. Graphite pencils are graded according to their softness or hardness on a scale from 8B to 8H: the letter B denotes softness and the H denotes hardness.
