It’s a monthly mix of film, music and career advice. We also invited Tate Collective Producers and students from Chelsea College of Arts to respond to the Turner’s Modern World exhibition currently on display at Tate Britain. LINE UP: Stream 1: Films and career talks ✨ERIC Presents: How to Deal with Rejection – 5 steps to make it a little easier In this talk ERIC will go through how to create positivity to override the negative emotion of rejection. Rejection is unavoidable and if you have a number of ‘No’s’ in succession it hurts. They will suggest 5 things you can do to deal with this going forward. ✨Louder Than Words presents Empire Strikes Back Check out a showcase of short films from Empire Strikes Back, a new international programme for emerging multidisciplinary artists. The programme aims to challenge and dismantle social structures that oppress throughout the colonies and ex-colonies of the British Empire. Stream 2: Films ✨Chelsea College of Arts Chelsea College present a set of one-minute films. They include digital animations, live recording, performance in landscapes and documentary approaches. The students’ short films look at the different ways that landscape is understood and imagined now. They explore a range of themes, from race and the legacies of slavery, to sovereignty and nationality, to geology and the climate emergency. Check out longer versions of the films on Chelsea College's YouTube Channel. ✨Tate Collective Producer Showcase A group of Tate Collective Producers have also produced a series of creative responses to Turner. These include a soundwork documenting the urban landscape and a short film exploring the legacy of Victorian transport infrastructure. There will also be a slow look at the great tree's of London, performance poetry and an interview with urban landscape painter David Hepher. Stream 3: Music ✨Reprezent Radio: The voice of young London Reprezent Radio, streaming from Brixton, curate a playlist for the evening. This set starts at 8.00pm.
