Museum Late: 3 June 2016 Dreaming of a holiday? Let us transport you there, through a free evening of music and performance Taking inspiration from this artwork, with its dreamy and evocative feel, muted colours, abstract imagery of sea, beach, sand dunes and a flock of seabirds flying in formation across the canvas, we’ve invited a selection of artists to create an immersive event. The evening will explore sense of place, holiday memories and the feeling of escape and being transporting to somewhere else. London based research, production and performance group Dubmorphology will curate an immersive and sensory journey through the collection. Designer-makers ELK and composers Cassini Sound, will create a hypnotic audio-physical installation derived from data originating on the surface of the moon. Plus a new commission from graphic designer and 3D illustrator Zigor Samaniego will produce a new digital animation. Plus eclectic soulful vibes, relaxed beats and ambient textures from Melo-zed. https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-britain/late/late-tate-britain/recall
