Laura & Wayne's Wedding Speech
On 29th March 2019, my little sister Laura married her partner Wayne. I spent 3 months on my wedding speech where I illustrated Laura's life and how she met Wayne, before presenting it in my 5 minute talk at the end of their wedding day.
The speech was written and storyboarded back in December 2018 where I charted each part of Laura's story - from her childhood and teenage antics, all the way up to adulthood where she and Wayne met.
I made sure to include as many funny stories, family members and references as possible because the gathering was a mixture of people who both knew us all really well, and some that didn't so I wanted to make sure everyone felt included and understood what I was talking about.
Apart from the speech, I kept the theme running throughout the Father's, Groom's and Best Men speeches as we continued with a few other slides to humiliate the pair of them...
There was also a range of wedding signs and direction posters on the way to wedding venue and reception, where we kept the theme consistent and also didn't tell the bride or groom about them either...
