My name is Mat Roff I'm a freelance illustrator based in Oxford.
I've freelanced as an illustrator/designer for the last 8 years and during that time I have created, marketed and visually represented my clients through social media and at events, and I love to bring my experience & creativity to all of the projects that I work on.
In terms of my expertise, I'm a digital illustrator who has worked for global brands such as PlayStation UK, Sega Europe, Twitch, Bossa Studios, Betway, Surfers Against Sewage and Diabetes UK – as well as publications such as Computer Arts, Creative Review and Prospect Magazines.
I not only producing 2D content but video, animation and graphics, so I have a lot of experience in visual marketing & social media promotion too.
Asides from the prerequisites of my illustration role, I have additional skills such as creating filming, editing, streaming, writing, web design, and running online communities, and most recently I started a drawing club in Oxford called the Oxford Doodle Club which brings together both local and national artists, illustrators, designers and beginners to sketch and tour the city of Oxford.
I've also attended a lot of design and gaming conventions, where I've created graphics for PlayStation Access and helped promote their Meet and Greet events at EGX in 2017, and more recently I attended PAX Australia in Melbourne this October 2018 where I was part of a panel for GenerOzity – and Australian gaming charity.
I enjoy traveling, attending events, meeting new people and promoting the hard work of others, which is something that I look for in the commissions or projects I undertake.
I'm available to take freelance and in-house work, so if I sound a good fit for you then please feel free to get in touch.

- Naughty Dog / The Last Of Us Part 2 PosterIn 2019, I started to illustrate two posters - one for CD Projekt Red's, Cyberpunk 2077, and one for Naughty Dog's, The Last Of Us Part II. The highly anticipated video game sequel to the 2013 multi-award-winning PlayStation exclusive, follows on five years after the events of The Last of Us, and the protagonists, Ellie and Joel, have begun living in a settlement in Jackson, Wyoming. This time you follow in Ellie's footsteps, as she seeks to avenge and destroy the cults that have threatened he
- Mediatonic / Fall Guys AnimationsFollowing the amazing success of Mediatonic's hit game, Fall Guys - I took some time between freelance projects to create some small animated gifs based on features and memes surrounding the game. From the Yellow Team, to hugging at the finish line, I created 4x gif designs involving up to 5 poses which were all hand animated in Photoshop, before being edited and rendered in Final Cut Pro. www.mediatonicgames.com 2020.

My design featured some of the most iconic figures in film - from King Kong, Jaws, Jurassic Park, James
- Bossa Studios' HogWash Key ArtDuring August 2019, I was approached by the game studio, Bossa Studios to create key art and icons designs for their new title, Hogwash. It's a fun and cheeky co-operative game where you play as either the farm or the pigs. Your mission is simple, if you're the farmer then your job is to keep the farm clean, if you're the pigs then your job is to cover as much of the farm and it's items in mud, as fast as you can! www.bossastudios.com 2019.
