Creation of brand identity and product range for the Natural History Museum and « Jardin des plantes » of Paris. With Marie-Sarah Adenis

Branding of « Le Museum » sets up between two universes : the vegetal one (brought by the « Jardin des plantes » and the scientific experimentation one (brought by the Natural History Museum). This brand offers tools to awaken user’s curiosity and make accessible alive experience.

The corporate identity is based on an image library, actualized by Natural History Museum researchers, which highlights both diversity and unity of living world. Through a website and a poster campaign, those images are used to questions people with little games and riddles.

« Le Museum » brand offers objects which enable to experience phenomena through little experimentation protocols and to understand them through contemplation. For example this first objects line designed to enable people to garden in miniature scale. So they become both a growing place and a pedestal for micro-plants.

Among them :

• «Perpendicular garden» is a family of balances for micro-plants. It plays with the stick horizontality which represents the ideal balance watering. As water evaporates, the plant little by little rises in the air and so symbolizes soil drying up and needs to be watered.

• «Perspective garden» is a little shadow theatre which enables to observe micro-plant’s growth and to play with his image. A led projects and enlarges the plant’s silhouette to the object’s surface. So the user can draw the plant’s outline and give free rein to his imagination.
