Leonardo da Vinci: 500 years in 2019
2 May 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of the death of artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci. Da Vinci, a legendary polymath, brought great talent and innovation to many different disciplines including (but certainly not limited to) painting, anatomy, botany and science.

Commemorate this master of the Italian Renaissance with images drawn from art collections around the world, including the collection of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana , which has nearly 2,500 drawings by the artist and the Royal Collection.
