This was my acting debut in a full length feature film. I have gone on to direct my own short film making projects. I feel more comfortable behind the camera, directing, script writing / screenplay adaptation, editing. This was a most enlightening experience however ... it brought home to me that film making is a team effort and while directors, actors amd writers get The Oscars, this would not be possible without the army of production crew that the viewer of any feature length film never gets to see or hear about. I am by nature an observer, a commentator, a documentor and most importantly a writer. Before anything gets filmed, there has to importantly be ... written source material for director and the actors to work with to tell the story, The book, the screenplay are like lumps of marble that the director will work on like a scuptor, chipping and chiseling away, till the vision of the director is revealed. I have that insight in my writing and in my directorial ability to draw the acrors into my vision and take them on an emotional journey with the characters I have created... to tell the story as only that ensemble of artistes could. For actors to allow themselves to be so vulnerable yet empowered in the rawness of creation is a beautiful thing to be a part of. I look forward to career in film progressing.
