Working with creative duo We are Laura, we were briefed by The Friday Project and author Dale Shaw to design and art direct a book of made-up letters by famous historical figures.
The brief asked that we include photographs and scans of the 'original' letters, which had never really existed. This made the project a learning process, of fabricating illustrated letters with varying styles of hand drawn type, to best reflect the style, age and characteristics of the individual figures.
