Levi's Vintage Clothing: Bob Dylan's 551Z Jeans

I was asked to write a feature about the Levi's Vintage Clothing 551Z Customized Jeans for Always in Colour. Using my natural interest in history, music and vintage clothing, I really enjoyed the research part for this piece which enabled me to accurately include the names and dates of those associated with the musician at the time. As an authentic reproduction of folk singer Bob Dylan’s 551Z jeans, the pair has been crafted with sharp attention to detail including the use of the same thread count, stains, and bootcut inserts which Dylan’s girlfriend of the time Susan ‘Suze’ Rotolo (seen on the cover of Another Side of Bob Dylan) sewed herself so Bob could wear them over his boots.
