Collectable Butterfly mini-figs for every type of mood and spirit. The concept of "Buttterfly Figures" had been floating around the small company I developed these for without a clear path. Trapped in a "development cocoon" you could say if you didn't mind being punched. I was called in to wrangle all the disparate elements that had been mentioned and form a development plan. As the old Navy Seal maxim goes, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." I started by getting a body and face look finalized then reached out to and hired a group of talented graphic designers to tackle each of the wing themes. My goal was to have a different talent design each set of wings but time constraints and the luck of finding really skilled designers on the first go changed these plans. In the end I think I ended up with 6 different designers for both series.
