Live Brief with Wallace and Sewell

This project is responding to a brief set by Wallace and Sewell to create a collection of four samples for interiors or scarves, inspired by a painting of my choice. I used the paintings of Graham Sutherland to create the colour palette and composition of samples for a blanket collection. To capture the sense of place he creates through his painting of Welsh Landscapes I used Welsh wools and structures that created a 3D effect, encapsulating the hills Sutherland painted. This was woven on a 16 shaft table loom.
