About me
Specialising in woven textiles, I am studying towards my BA in Textiles in Practice at Manchester School of Art. My practice is based in creating innovative samples through combining the use of technical, rare and interesting yarns and with the traditional craft of weaving. As well as using sampling to create 3D structures on the loom. Over the past 3 years I have gained experience on table top, dobby and jacquard looms and have found an interest in applying my samples to an outdoor and activewear industry. I am avidly interested in the future of sustainable textiles and yarns, especially within this context.

I created a collection of samples that explore the use of textural yarns such as mohair and fabric weight to create a haptic experience w

Live Brief with Wallace and SewellThis project is responding to a brief set by Wallace and Sewell to create a collection of four samples for interiors or scarves, inspired by a painting of my choice. I used the paintings of Graham Sutherland to create the colour palette and composition of samples for a blanket collection. To capture the sense of place he creates through his painting of Welsh Landscapes I used Welsh wools and structures that created a 3D effect, encapsulating the hills Sutherland painted.
