We marked this year’s London Design Festival with two major collaborations across our London stores. The first, a banquet of art-inspired design objects via international gallerists Hauser & Wirth, the second, a multi-sensory installation by design studio Sella Concept. As the inaugural hub of Marylebone Design District, the window of the Marylebone store presented a bespoke dining table of objects inspired by the work of Hauser & Wirth’s critically acclaimed artists. Following a week of events happening around the district, as is tradition, The Conran Shop threw the official LDF party to celebrate. DJed by Pippa Brooks and sponsored by our long-standing partners Remy Martin and Isle of Raasay Gin, guests went on into the night taking in the finesse of Samuel Wilkinson’s Kvadrat/Raf Simons-lined Latis Chair series and Matthew Day Jackson’s moon-inspired Kolho collection. Finishing off LDF in style, Sella Concept‘s Ad Infinitum: The Party welcomed over 1,500 guests at our Chelsea store, DJed by Sasha Brown. Each curious observer had the opportunity to set their eyes on the immersive installation, featuring exclusive collaborations between The Conran Shop and Vitra, Carl Hansen & Søn and Knoll. From the supremely comfortable, Australian sheepskin-upholstered Womb Relax Armchair to the dazzling ‘Fusion Fire’ granite Tulip Table by Eero Saarinen, spectators had the chance to witness these extremely limited-edition reinterpretations of design classics for the first time.
