Love / Hate starts from the simple idea of creating chinese words with letterpress. I chose to manipulate Gill Sans, because of it's history as classic british typeface. It speaks, in a way, of my time as a chinese in the London, a mish-mash of both cultures.
With handrolled ink on letterpress, this book explores the idea of how emotions can change from love to hate... and if you're an optimistic, from hate to love.
