MACD & Co. is a degree show of the two-year master course at Central Saint Martins I graduated. As a head designer, my role was to develop the concept of its visual identity and to design and art direct the elements that include the gallery space, promotional graphics, merchandise, videos and a website with four colleagues of the design team.
The idea is to visualise the class as a collective of individual designers by using the cliche of graphic designers’ uniforms which is stripes. When you wear it on your own, it looks neat and organised. However, once all of the class wear it, it becomes lively and radical as the students stimulate each other through the learning process in the course together.
