Make do and mend: UK clothes rationing during WW2

  • Jessica Clements

My FMP for University Creative Arts in Farnham. This collection was on my take of WW2. Focusing on aspects such as rationing and make do and mend, This collection focused on the practises that was necessary to preserve clothing. This collection of woven fabrics had an over exaggerated colour pallet to emphasise the importance of the make do and mend movement, and how the preservation of clothing was important as funds and resources was slim.
