Mandela Poster Project is promoted by Icograda and was opened for design contributions to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday, and also to remember all his trajectory.
The first poster has the title of “Life and times of a great man”. It displays 95 pictures using an infographic format, one according to each year of his life, creating an unusual timeline, going through his childhood, the period in prison, when he became the president and, as a highlight, the end of the Apartheid.
The second poster, with the title of “Y not?” – created in partnership with the Brazilian copywriter Fernando Andreazi – brings us a question that translates a period of protests and historic movements that are significant for the African continent.
The shape of the South African flag is brought with an aggressive expression illustrated with Chinese Ink and with a very fast and straightforward question.
Both posters were selected between 93 others to be displayed in 5 different countries, such as South Africa, USA, Brazil, Croatia, Slovenia and Greece.
