In this unit, I was given a task to design a booklet for the Manhattan Mono Film Festival, which is a 3 day event in Central park, New York featuring classic comedy silent films such as Babes in Toyland, The General, safety last! and Modern Times . I used a yellow colour to remind people of New York’s busy Manhattan and also the New York Taxi’s colour . There were some strict rules and limitations to follow to create the booklet such as only the use of 2 Pantone coated colours and only the use of pictures and context that our tutor provided . I experimented with my own customized shapes/font .
